Coach Nikolay Sakhin has been a valued member of the Skillz Check coaching staff since 2018 and serves as a Senior Trainer, playing a lead role across our camps, clinics, and town training programs. Nikolay is known for his ability to connect with players of all ages and for his commitment to creating a positive, challenging, and supportive learning environment.

Nikolay’s passion for sports began in his native Ulan-Ude, Russia, where he grew up playing street and youth hockey. After moving to the United States in 2007 at age 10, he transitioned to soccer and quickly developed into a dedicated and competitive player. He played club soccer for Aztec Soccer Club and was a three-year varsity player and senior captain for the Danvers High School boys soccer team. Nikolay continued his playing career at Colby-Sawyer College before transferring to Salem State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree in Sport and Movement Science.

In addition to his work with Skillz Check camps and clinics, he also coaches at the club level and provides private and small group training.
