About Winter Skillz Player Training
Winter Skillz is a technical training program designed to help players continue developing throughout the winter season while building the individual skills that can set them apart from their opponents.
The program features three six-week sessions running from November through April. Players are grouped by age to create an appropriate training environment while allowing our coaching staff to challenge players based on their individual ability and stage of development.
Training is designed to develop confident, creative, and technically strong players through repetition, competitive exercises, and game-related activities.
Training areas may include:
- Ball mastery and comfort on the ball
- First touch and receiving
- Dribbling and 1v1 attacking
- Passing technique and combination play
- Turning and changing direction
- Finishing and striking technique
- Speed of play and decision-making
- Movement off the ball
- Confidence and creativity in game situations
The goal is not simply to complete drills. Winter Skillz gives players the repetition and coaching needed to turn technical skills into habits they can confidently use when they return to team training and competition.
